The main event this weekend was Mothers Day. Paola wrote a very nice poem to Mary that produced some moisture on our eyes :). It was beautiful!
We cooked hamburgers for dinner, made at home and cooked in our nice brand new BBQ Sovereign XL from Broil King.
During the morning, we went to buy a case for Mary's cell phone. Last weeks have been revolving around some purchases including her cell phone which ended being a Samsung Nexus S which is very nice and competing with my iPhone 4. We have learned a lot about Android. This devices are again changing the way we live.
Another thing that kept us busy this weekend was weed killing "Muere Hierbita" Since our house was one of the firsts in the neighborhood, all the weed in the adjacent lands end up on my backyard. We've been trying to get rid of them since then but with not much luck. Specially with the Dandelion (Yellow Flower) that has a large and profound root that if not removed, will grow again and again. Luckily, I am following Mary's recommendation of using hot water and it's working! (Should have believed her before). I am using hot water from the heater and a hose and also a tee pot that boils the water. The first one is faster but the water is not so hot but causes damage. The second is definitive. I am waiting to see them disappear and continue with the ones that we did not touch.
As an update, we also installed a "Gazebo" and we have learned how to deal with strong winds by now. It is nice and will be a nice place to eat and rest (without mosquitoes and other bugging bugs)
